Thread Meddle Outfit is a collaboration between Christine Betsill Restrepo and Johannah Wininsky. Thread Meddle Outfit was born in 2003. They began as a collaboration between Mrs. Betsill Restrepo, Ms. Wininsky and three other women artists: Andrea Staley (filmmaker), Clare Britt and Stefani Cole (photographers). Although they still collaborate with other artists, Thread Meddle Outfit is now under the primary artistic direction of Mrs. Betsill Restrepo and Ms. Wininsky.

Thread Meddle Outfits' work has been featured in the Around the Coyote Arts Festival 2005 (Vittum Theater), Dance Chicago 2005 (Athenaeum Theatre), as the featured artists in Rebound Dance Winter Festival 2006 (Theatre Building Chicago), and in the Full Circle Festival 2007 (Hamlin Park Fieldhouse). They have presented works with Moyamo Dance Company (Playhouse Theatre in Louisville, KY), and RTG Dance Company (Happy Dog Performance Space Chicago, IL). They presented a full-length show, ‘Two Sides to Every Story' at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse in June 2006 and co-produced ‘In Progress' at Locus Arts Space in December 2006. They have received several Community Arts Assistance Program Grants from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Illinois Arts Council.
